Art

It's Tuesday, May 19th, and feels like the perfect spring day: sunny with a fragrant, light breeze.

I'm waiting for a friend and drinking a mug of chai, contemplating.

Over the last few days, I've had the opportunity to visit some very creative people, who make amazing art. It's inspirational on many levels. Do you paint? Weave? Woodwork? Weld?

I was remembering, back in the day, how much time I would 'lose,' when I painted...

Einstein stated: "Art is standing with one hand extended into the universe and one hand extended into the world, and letting ourselves be a conduit for passing energy."

Today, my art looks a little different: it looks like writing a blog, gardening. It looks like energy clearing and healing.

To me, art is being available to the energy that wants to move through me - at any given moment.

Can you feel what is called to come through you? Do you have a sense of your 'art'? Do you feel aligned with your true calling, with what brings you joy?

Ultimately, I do what I do, because I love it. I can't not.

If anyone else loves it, too, well...that's just an added benefit!

I'll leave you with this, from the Gospel of Thomas:

If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.
