It's Tuesday, May 26th. I woke with snippets of a dream - not sure if it was a nightmare (has that ever happened to you?) - and thought about moving into the 16th Gene Key, "Magical Genius," today.
When I started looking at all I had on my to-do list and digging into the chores, the phone rang.
I love talking to Janet! She brings a sense of grounded connection that is refreshing and, well, "magical."
I mentioned that some members of my cohort were coming over today...to make sure I was still on board with my school timeline. She mentioned that her students seemed to be really checked out, too. Have you been feeling this sense of apathy? Disconnect?
How perfect! Because this is what the shadow of this Gene Key is all about: Indifference.

In allowing ourselves, (our children, students, etc.) to take responsibility to figure out what does sound magical and exciting, we are actually contributing: love, art, faith, and life.
Make sense? Because who wants to spend any time or energy on things they don't care anything about....?
And, believe it or not, spending a little time daydreaming, imagining, and visualizing is an important part of that process of figuring things out.
My adorable 'Note from the Universe' (via Mike Dooley) was right on par with this message today. Here's the part where I laughed out loud:
"Do you think I studied quarks, atoms, and molecules? That I drew schematics for the sun, the moon, and the stars; the otter, the Gila Monster, and penguin? Do you think I painted every zebra, flower, and butterfly? Or... do you think ..I simply imagined the end result?
And that's all you ever have to do! Yeeee-ha! I hated school."
Hilarious, yes? Although...maybe you loved school??
Here's hoping you, too, have a chance to tap into your Magical Genius today...and rekindle some of that enthusiasm that makes you feel alive! And here's to imagining a new educational system that honors that process for all learners!!
