Exquisiteness

It's Thursday, May 14 and we are moving into a Gate in Human Design: Gate 8.

Do you have a favorite number? One that shows up for you in a repeated pattern in your birthdate, address, as a sign from yourSelf, etc.?

I love the number 8 - in and of itself it is about achievement, fulfillment, and success. Louise Hay's small book on Colors and Numbers also gives colors associated with 8: brown, beige and pink; the gem that accompanies 8 is the diamond.

Gate 8 is about 'contribution and leading by example.'

In wanting a bit more clarification, I reached for the Gene Keys again. Richard Rudd is good about breaking out the Shadow: Mediocrity; the gift: Style and the siddhi: Exquisiteness.

He reminds us that societal education does its best to indoctrinate us from a young age)with 'education' to conform.

Do you feel like you have been able to remain a free thinker? Have you established a solid sense of your own identity in the world?

What would it look like if we allowed children to keep their individuality?

To escape mediocrity means recognizing that your style may not yet fit within the confines of the 'norm.' So there is an element of rebelliousness necessary, to step fully into realizing (making real) that piece you are meant to play as, "the cutting edge of creation itself."

Whew. This feels big, huh? I'm wondering what the next 6 days in this Gate will bring...

In the meantime, I will bring this full circle:

From: Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are. Up above the world so high, Like a diamond in the sky....

To: Carl Sagan, "We are made of starstuff."

And: Pink Floyd, "Shine on, you crazy diamond"

How will you shine your exquisite light today?
