Time for tea?

Updated: Apr 27, 2020

Happy Friday, March 97th...Okay, just kidding!

(I did think that was the funniest sign, did you see it? In case we had lost track of the days....?)

It's really April 17th. Really, I'm always happy to journal/blog, because it keeps me on track with linear time.

As some of you know, I do love tea...making it, brewing it and drinking it. When someone visits, it feels like the right way to connect -over a large handmade mug (my favorite potter is Nic Seidner of Rising Meadow Pottery https://www.nicholasseidner.com/) of some heavenly smelling blend.

And sometimes, there's a bonus!

Wow...isn't that a great message?!

Sometimes it's easy to forget that we are not human 'doings'...we are human 'beings.' And in just being, we are doing everything that is needed. We've gotten so used to calendars, schedules, timelines and deadlines... that we even forget to breathe (did you make that word connection for yourself?)

Then we end up in a place of incoherence - and we react, rather than wisely responding to what the Universe brings to us. The emotions that accompany the reactions are usually pretty familiar: frustration, anger, upset. Whew. Believe it or not, it's easy to become addicted to these emotions, which creates our emotional baseline.

Who benefits from these feelings? Where do they go? Some of you may know the Cherokee Legend, with the metaphor of two wolves fighting; one evil and one good. The boy in the story asks "Which wolf is stronger?" and his grandfather responds: "The one you feed."

Which wolf are you feeding? How and when you default to reactivity?

Get to know yourself. Love yourself enough to take a deep breath and trust that you are being and becoming the best you possible. Create a statement of sovereignty, in recognition that you are consciously shutting down the food to the evil wolf. Or borrow mine:

I claim full Sovereignty as Co-Creator, Homo-Divinicus, holding the balance of polar frequencies within me in complete harmony with God’s Divine & Cosmic Laws. I acknowledge with compassion, gratitude and love the role that all energies have played and no longer condone the conscious, unconscious and subconscious misuse and abuse of my Sacred Energy. ~Alice Harwood
